Gloria Bistrița a suferit prima înfrângere din actualul sezon al EHF Champions League, după un duel intens cu multipla campioană a Franței, Metz Handball. Atmosfera de la TeraPlast Arena a fost, ca de fiecare dată, una incredibilă, cu tribunele pline și suporteri care au împins echipa de la spate până la ultimul minut.

Evident, nu este un moment fericit pentru noi, am pierdut puncte importante, dar nu cred că scorul reflectă cu adevărat valoarea echipei noastre. Am avut șanse să întoarcem jocul, dar nu am reușit să spargem apărarea adversă. Totuși, am dat tot ce am avut mai bun.”

Gloria Bistrița suffered their first defeat of the current EHF Champions League season after an intense battle with French powerhouse Metz Handball. The atmosphere at TeraPlast Arena was, as always, incredible, with the stands full and the fans pushing the team forward until the very last minute.
Although the final score was 24–31, the Bistrița side showed determination and managed to challenge one of the top European teams that consistently fights for the final stages of the competition.

Obviously, it’s not a happy moment for us — we lost important points — but I don’t think the score truly reflects the value of our team.
